Michelle Kostek has been an educator in South Hadley for the past 14 years, working with preschoolers, students, young adults and everything in between! She loves sharing folk songs with all ages, but especially children’s music groups, as she encourages them to sing along, move to the music and enjoy the stories that have been passed down. Michelle studied songwriting and vocal performance at Berklee College of Music before spending several years immersed in Nashville’s songwriter scene. She made her way back to Massachusetts in 2009 and has been teaching and performing ever since. She currently works with multilingual students at Mosier Elementary, and loves using music in her teaching whenever possible. Michelle also performs at local venues and events as a part of the indie-folk duo The New Domestics.
